StarMara Glass ~ Dichroic LightWork
I bring the skills of 35 years as a potter and silk painter to my new exploration of dichroic glass fusing. I take delight in the healing aspects of the materials I use in my studio work, from the quartz matrix of clay, to the deep hues of silk dyes, and the healing medicine of gemstones. But dichroic glass is something else, something new and galvanizing in its gifts.

Dichroic glass offers the transformative energy of light. Formed by the microscopic layering of titanium, other precious metals and quartz crystal onto glass, it both reflects and transmits light energy.

The magic of dichroic glass is apparent to all who are drawn into its mesmerizing heart of beauty and power. As a reflector of light it mirrors our Soul . As a transmitter of light, it bears gifts of wonder and shimmering transformation.
