The Santa Maria Trilogy
Raymond Willard’s Santa Maria Trilogy weaves vivid images, sharp narratives and guitar-driven melodies into three songs about a central California town in the 1960’s. The Bradley Hotel is the center of town -- a place where bad plans are made, a used record store sells half-price 45’s, and kids in cars mark the half-way point on the eternal cruise loop from Leo’s to Loop’s. Raymond Willard have diced and sliced their memories, and fused them into layered evocations of Santa Maria’s past, rich and resonant.
